I couldnt find what I wanted on the Sussexweald site so will probably have to get the birth cert for Amy Ellen as I cant find a marriage for James and Eliza or Mary Anns birth.

Many thanks for that. In 1891 James and Eliza have a daughter b 1874 with them so that should narrow down a marriage date for James and Eliza.

So it looks like I have the right Mary Ann on 1901 and 1911 census and her marriage in 1908 doesnt it. Am having no luck finding her birth, I have searched about 6 years around 1865 on Find my Past. I used to be able to do that on Ancestry but cant seem to find how to do it now.

Perhaps your William/James is one and the same man. Given both names, known by one of them ... (I have a Henry George who never seemed to be able to make up his mind what his name was!)

1911 Census, Worthing, Sussex. William age 49. Mary Ann Hills age 46, b Midhurst, Sussex. Edward Sivyer age 12, b Horsham, Sussex.

I cant find birth for Mary Ann Sivyer nor on any other Census.
In 1901 Mary is b Petersfield, Hant and in 1911 its Midhurst Sussex.

In 1891 there is an Eliza Sivyer in Somping, West Sussex age 54 b Ockley, Hants with Husband James Sivyer.
This cant be Elizas parents as her marriage cert in 1908 says father is William Sivyer.

Am I on the right track or have I gone wrong again!!! If I could only find Mary Ann birth it would help!
