I have found the marriage using Ancestry London BMD but am unable to find it in GRO and i would like to purchase the cert.

William Blackman married Emily Dedman on 7th December 1839 in the parish of St. Marylebone, Westminster.

Are all GRO records available?

As Glitter has offered you the image...Better than the GRO cert as that is a copy of the register and you will get the 'real' thing!

And as to your question as to whether all GRO records are available....

Yes as they were advised...But you then have to allow for the mistranscriptions/missing entries

At the end of a quarter the details of marriages that took place in that quarter were sent by the minister or registrar to the district superintendent registrar who forwarded them to the Registrar General in London where they would eventually be included in the national index. At each stage the information could be mistranscribed, omitted or finally the entry indexed incorrectly.

I sometimes wonder how we find them at all :-)

I will be back later this evening if you do want the copy image.

Actually seeing the images on Ancestry is very useful. Sometime when viewing the page you can work out if the witnesses are professional or family members.
