This MAY be her parent's marriage, but without her father's name from her marriage cert it's just a wild guess really.

In that case, Betty, you need to buy her marriage certificate.

That should give you her father's name....then you can look for a marriage for ?????? Simm to a Scott to verify this is her.

unfortunately I know very little about her, I don't think I am going to get very far with this, you say that there are siblings listed, where would I see that ?

If it is her, then yes, whoever typed up the entry onto the index typed nn instead of mm.

Do you know her brothers and sisters names?

If so you can verify that their mother's maiden name is Scott.

Could anyone please help me find the birth of my mother in law Mary Price, maiden name Simm, she was born 18th September 1918 as far as I know in Newcastle upon Tyne, I can't find a record of it anywhere, your help would be appreciated.
