Yes that is her. Many thanks for all your help.

We seem to be having huge problems with Mary as we originally thought another Mary (born 1911) was ours as she married a Kenneth Partington (2nd marriage) which seems true according to my dad, then we found out this isn't our Mary, so are very confused and are trying to figure out if there is a link between these 2 Marys!!!

Have a look at Cyndislist

Type in the geographical area of interest into the search facility.

The site gives info as to where genealogical records are held....Including those available online.

The coming and goings of Mary could have been because she was on cruise ships as crew.

I cannot find any info about Mary not even a marriage and have been through years 1942 to 1965 for a marriage on FMP..

You may need to ask for a Look up o Worldwide Ancestry...

she was born 1924. Unfortunately my dad doesn't have any idea of when she left. He does remember her coming/going and he was born 1947. He thinks she was there (and possibly died there) for about 30 years or so.

My dad was also lead to believe she married a man called Partington (we think his first name was Kenneth). We have found another Mary Amer who married a Kenneth Partington but as far as we know she is no relation!

So, as you can see, we really don't have much to go on at all.

What year was Mary born and have you a rough Idea of the years she emigrated...

HI

AM hoping someone can point me in the right direction really. We "tihnk" that Mary M Amer moved to Africa (we are lead to believe Tanzania or Kenya). We have no idea of dates or anything at all.

Can someone let me know where would be the best place to start looking for something like this?
