On the Cheshire BMD site it looks as if the 1932 birth that Choccy has found is for a Winifred Freda Clarke....mother's maiden name is Stephenson.

If you are looking in the future to do any further research in the Stockport....Cheshire BMD are transcribing mothers maiden names for all births in the area from 1837 which may help

There is also more information for marriages. Harold Clarke married Elizabeth Ellen Stephenson in a Civil Marriage...which I presume would be at the local Registry Office from experience. If they had married in church then the church would have been named.

Yes Clarke (with an e) is her maiden name. As far as we know she was born in the Stockport area, as the first address listed was her family home (Parents & siblings) although we dont know much more.
She could well have already passed away? But lack of further information other than what i have leads nowhere? Sadly? Freda was her middle name.

Is Winifred Clarke her maiden name? if not you need to find a marriage cert and send for that, or even a birth cert to find exaclty when she was born. There is a death for a Winifred Clark, born 2 July 1931 died 1993 Nottingham, if that is correct the informant on the certificate may be the daughter.

There are lots of marriages for the daughter again a birth cert for her may give you a middle name which would help you find which is the correct one. I presume you have been tracing the address from the local electoral registers, again how about looking at the telephone directories for the area.
