Had a feeling it may be because she had been married before, but have never seen it on other records where ancestors have married widows.

It can show two surnames if they have been married before.
I.E it will show her maiden name plus married name.

Both are correct if she had 2 surnames ie parents may not have married

If anyone is bored with football, would you like to throw some light on this one.
Have a marriage 1947 Holywell Flintshire for William B T Firth, Spouse Annie Ellie or Vaughan, Ref 8a 1316.
Have looked at original record. He is shown once, but Annie is shown twice. Once as Ellis (not Ellie) &once as Vaughan both with same ref.
Any ideas which was correct & why the 2 entries with different surnames.
