Hi rottie,
I used to live in West Norwood, St Lukes Church is next to Norwood Cemetery which is quite intresting in it's self ( Mrs Beaton, of cookbook fame is buried there so I believe) try this link to St Lukes.

They mention the workhouse as being where the Woodvale estate is now. There is an estate between Tivoli road and Elder Road which has a Woodvale walk so that looks like the location they mention.
West norwood is in SE27 if you are looking in Google maps.

can anyone tell me anything about st lukes, it appears some kind of institute in 1851,i discovered a poss rellie but not to sure. any help is much appreciated . many thanks
