That is so true Sylvia. I had to completely re-organise my tree at the beginning because I was on the wrong family. Same surname, same area.....but wrong!! Always, always, check first.

It is not really a good idea to cut and copy information from someone else's tree unless you have checked it out VERY thoroughly and are certain sure that it is accurate!

Hi Nikki -

Open both trees- have the screens running beside each other eg open their tree in separate window. You can then go to members of their tree and copy up to five people on to the clipboard, you then go to your tree and say you have mother and father - hit add daughter or son and add member from clipboard and so on. It's a hard one to explain, but easy once you get the hang of it.

Having said all that I hope you are sure you have got correct information and have checked out sources etc.

is there any way i can cut and paste info from someone elses tree an ad to mine with out re entering every little detail
