Is it possible to look up parish records on the net? I want to look at babtism records which I have been told are kept in Shrewsbury but I am unable to go there at the moment.

Hi Flo, Family search where?! I'm not very proficient at this!

This is the Mormons' site that has many parish records - some are more reliable than others but the site is very useful anyway -
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp.

Also, there is the free parish register site which is being uploaded by volunteers.

Also, try googling (searching on the internet) for parish registers just in case they have been put on line.

Happy hunting :-)
