If the prison still exists contact them to find out where the records are. They might be at the prison, or a local library or a local Record Office.

If the prison does not exist then contact the local Record Office to find out where the records are.

Chances are they will not be online so someone may need to go and look through them for you if you can't get there yourself.

Hi
I wonder if anyone could help me find a birth
It is for a HARRY REGINALD BERROWS c1874
Birmingham Warwickshire.
He was sometimes known as Henry and his surname has been transcribed as Berrows/Burrows/Barrows.

Harry was in Stafford prison Staffordshire on the 1901 census, i wonder if there is anyway to find out about the circumstances of his case.

he is out of prison on the 1911 census and living with his family

any help would be very much appreciated
cheers linda
