The reason I asked is that 900 names will require an awful lot of paper, regardless of how you try to print it.

I have just done a quick test using FTM 2010. Selecting minimal information to print, i.e. Name, Birth, Marriage & Death, a Simple Genealogical Register Report with around 136 names on it ran to 39 pages, a Descendant Chart with the same info required 72 pages.

I usually find that a better bet is a Pedigree Chart, starting with the person you are giving it to. Again using FTM, a typical Pedigree going back, say, 10 generations might take up around 8 pages, depending on how much info you decide to print and how many branches actually go back the full 10 generations

The GR print option, which is very basic, is only really designed to print trees with a few tens of names on it.

You would do far better to invest in a commercial software program such as FTM which has the option to print various different types of reports selectively.and properly formatted.

But, why do you want to print a tree with 900 names on it?

Hi Zena, this thread might help, it seems that you can't, if you have over 800 people on your tree -
