SP is good and less information the better, just surname and 1 christian name plus a year+1 often is all that needed,,
it will show matches if any are there, then credits to view,,,

does anyone find ``scotlands people` website helpful? there doesn`t seem to be a way of doing a general search before you start spending credits/money and despite having a fair amount of information to hand most of my searches come back `no match` e.g. as a test i put in all the relevant details from my father`s bith cert. and still got `no match`
i have been reading the posts regarding `hot matches` and although this site has been a bit disappointing the two people who bothered to reply to my request to view their trees have been brilliant the scottish side of my tree would have been very bare without them and i am extremely grateful to them for sharing their research.
