so if I am a gold member, I can have another tree under another password for free, but with limited access? I have a very elderly friend of the family and would love to do a bit of research for him, but did not know how to do it as he is not in my tree at all.

Hi all
Thanks for the replies. Certainly something to think about and get my head round.
Maybe when it gets a little cooler - or even rains... I live in hope!! Sorry.

You can have as many accounts as you wish. Each is independent from each other and has its own password.

They can be:-

(A) Free Membership;
(B) Standard Membership;
(C) Gold Membership.
(D) Platinum Membership

You pays your money and takes your choice.

You either have one paid and one free or pay for two.

I believe that it is not possible to have more than one family tree per one GR account. I understand however that it is possible to have a second, "Free" GR account and that could house your second family tree. If I understand correctly with a "Free" GR account whilst other GR members can contact you and you can respond to them you are not a able to initiate contact or to post on the GR message boards.

Is it possible to have 2 x family trees on genes?
I have my tree, which is now quite large but covers all my side and a lot of my ex husbands side.
What I would really like to do is now separate ex hubbys side from mine so I can then start it with my son, rather than me. Just for sons information...and to save my confusion as there are similar surnames on both sides.
I do have another email address I can use so would this be the way to go.
All ideas gratefully received.
