Couple of things.

You tree should show the date and time it was uploaded. Check this to first confirm that it is your latest version.

Unlike GR, uploading a new tree doesn't overwrite your original, it creates a new one. However, deleting your old tree doesn't remove the index pointers immediately so if you do a search you will still see the names on your old tree. However, if you try and access them you are likely to get an error as the tree is no longer there.

Similarly even though your new tree appears to load straight away, it's index of names isn't created on-line

This will sort itself out in a few days as Ancestry re-build the search indexes, with the references to your old tree being removed and those to the new one added. All this happens behind the scenes without you being aware.

OR are you saying your tree on Ancestry is still the old tree you had on there?

well your tree being uploaded will only show what you have researched and put in your original. if there are differences to others trees then they have decided on different connections. I am reading your query right??

I uploaded my family tree to Ancestry and found several discrepancies with a few other people s trees researching the same family. I updated the info through my family tree software program and then created a new GEDCOM. I deleted the tree from Ancestry and then uploaded the new GEDCOM but the information has not changed when I open the tree in Ancestry. Can some kind person tell me why. Many thanks. Bob
