Hi all,

Is there any way I can find details of the above family name, who migrated from Slovenia (formerly under Yugoslavia and the Austrian Empire) in the 1840's to the U.S.

Thanks

Pam

Do you have first names and ages?

The first Skopecs don't appear on a US census until 1880.

Thanks, I will try the beta website

I dont have a lot of information about my family, my father-in-law told me many years ago that he had relatives who went to the U.S in the mid 1800's, they were born in Labin.

I will delete this thread until I have further details.

Try a search on this site, it's FREE

www.castlegarden.org/

CastleGarden.org is an educational project of The Battery Conservancy. This free site offers access to an extraordinary database of information on 11 million immigrants from 1820 through 1892, the year Ellis Island opened. Over 100 million Americans can trace their ancestors to this early immigration period.
