A QUICK QUESTION, CAN ANYONE CLARIFY??

Just been looking through family search website and have found another wedding entry for my relative Valentine Riches and Martha Bloye.
I found their marriage myself at the Norwich Records Office, which took place at St Nicholas Church, Lynn, Norfolk. 15th October 1787.
But further down the familysearch website they have another marriage registered the day before on the 14th October 1787 at the Norwich Archdeanary Court.
I understand that Marha Bloye was under age at the time of her marriage but had consent from her father.
Can anyone just expaline why there would be two marriages for them.

Thanks in advance
Tracie

Are the entries submitted or extracted?

If submitted then it has been added by and LDS member whilst if extracted from the register.

I have just copied the information from the familysearch site and this is what it says, can't see if it was submitted so I think it has been taken from the records.

looks like they need Court permission which was given on the 14th followed by a Church ceremony the next day

I would guess the record you posted was of a licence, not the marriage itself.
FS often don't fully identify what marr record they're extracting - so sometimes it might be the reading of banns, rather than the marr - this occurred with my ggg grandparents - both are extracted records:

Thanks mgnv, will take a look at the banns and see if that date is also on there. I didn't think of that.

Thanks again
