1911 census

I have been trying to locate one of my relations on the 1911 census without success he married in 1913 so should appear somewhere.

I have tried using varient spellings of his name and searching five years either side of his birth year with no luck. Does anyone any ideas on what else to try?

Have you got a sub? If so i would recommend trying a free search first as it's much better.
Try avoiding birthplace too. And try the "names beginning with" option,

Charles Burr known to his family as Joe was born 1883 in Wolverton, Buckinghamshire. He married Mabel Higgins in 1913 in Hertfordshire.

On earlier census records his family were living in Northhamptonshire. Both his parents were born in Bedfordshire.
