Tudor, i have traced his emigration via ancestry also, but seems no service or pension records can be found for him only his MIC. x

If he settled in Canada, it might be possible to trace his emigration via Ancestry.

Hi all. And hope someone will be able to guide me in the right direction.

My Great Uncle, was wounded in the Battle of Somme in 1916. He was in the Royal Irish Rifles, and later went and settled in Canada.

His name was Robert Hoy orignally from Amargh.

I can only find his MIC on ancestry, so am wondering where i can gather any further info on his time at the battle of somme.
