Many records now transcribed, though not sure of their coverage for Lincolnshire..

You will not be able to get a marriage certificate for the year 1829 as births marriages and deaths were not registered until 1837-all you can do is trace the mattiage thriugh the parish records of the church -the records will probably be in the county records office

Hi Patrica,

unfortunately registration started in 1837 so a marriage certificate wouldn't be available.

You would need the Parish records to look for a marriage, have you looked on family Search?

I am trying to obtain a copy of a cert. of marriage which took place in January 1829 at Holbeach, Lincolnshire. Can anyone please point me in the right direction. Hope to hear from someone. Many thanks Patricia
