The image isn't Bristol but I can't make it out, I'm tracing Elizabeth and Mary who are Tranter not Teaster and want to find out who this family are that they are staying with.

They seem to go by Bristow on subsequent censuses.

I have looked and looked and looking at the way the enumerator wrote it does look that it is correct and says Bristol. However I agree with Choccy and maureen, is possible that its been written down wrong and either the enumerator misheard or he misread what was put down.

I'm normally good at working out the letters from other names on the page but got to admit this one had me stumped, just knew it didn't end in L it was the wrong shape

1 thing I did notice though linda was that sometimes on the end of the words the enumerator got a bit carried away and did a squiggly bit that looked a bit like it did on the end of what appeared to be bristol. Its just a thought.
