Can anyone please tell me how I can find out if someone left a will and where I might obtain a copy?

Researching:
Don't put off until tomorrow doing what you can do today. If you like doing it today you can do it again tomorrow. Be kind to your children for it is they who will decide which care home you end up in.

I have had a look, but it is not bringing anything up in the search. Would this mean there was no will? He was very young when he died.

Dee that database only covers wills/probate up to 1941 so I'm afraid it will not have details of a possible 1975 will.

As MB has advised for £5 the Hm Courts will look up and provide a copy of the will if one is found.

Alternatively if you go to the Probate Court in First Avenue, Holborn you can look at the Calendars (Right up to the present) for free.
