I looked up the marriage for his sister - Jane Eliza Arnold to Henry Peter Gray - father is shown as Samuel Charles Arnold. Not found a London Marriage on Ancestry to match with fathers details for George

That's him Glitter.

Linda Report 13 Aug 2010 00:28

Is this feasible - Whilst search for my ancestor George Edward Arnold I have found a marriage on 05.08.1905 in the correct area, however, his father's name has been written as George Edward instead of Samuel Charles could this be an error plus his occupation has changed from a waiter and his father has become a farrier when really he was a Matress Maker.
The witnesses don't help me any as they are both from the girls family.

Is this too many mistakes or even fibs to be my rellie, there aren't any others for me to follow up??

I really think that's him marrying Louisa Irons as Charles Frederick. The coincidences are just a little too much. And at the baptism of their first child they're living in Cornfield St (same street he was living on in 1901 census.)
Just my opinion.

Thanks for the input Maureen, suppose that does make more sense, just wish there was some way I could confirm the details. The thought of putting in years of tracing the wrong family terrifies me!!!
