How do I find the church name from baptism record?

I have found baptism records for the children of John & Christiana Regan:

Richard..1893
Christiana...1898
Joseph...1890
Nora...1898

At Bolton-le-Moors, Lancashire, England, on this site....

http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=home

Could someone please tell me is there a way to find the name of the church from the reference numbers given?

How do I copy and paste the entries?

(I've tried holding down the left button on my pad as I usually do, but this doesn't work.)

Thank you.

Well, I do know how to copy! (Thanks to another member). When you look at entry, left click copy and just paste as normal, no dragging or highlighting necessary. Just ignore the message re. clipboard.
You might need to view the record in person - I know you can do so at family history centres at various Mormon churches, they will order them in for you to view.

I know, not exactly obvious is it! If I turn out to be correct, you can find a list of their family history centres by going to:

But another member might know better of course.

To find the name of the church type the given source film number into the LDS Library catalogue i.e. in this case 1966407

Click on the returned blue link
In the "Notes" it says-

The town of Bolton is in the parish of Bolton-le-Moors and the church is named for St. Peter.

Cheers
Guy

Another way is to just Google "Bolton-le-Moors parish church" There are several entries so there will be a bit of history about the church itself - maybe even a picture or two.

And this from Wikipedia:

"Bolton le Moors (also known as Bolton le Moors St Peter) was a civil parish and ecclesiastical parish of the hundred of Salford in the historic county of Lancashire, England. It was administered from St Peter's Church, Bolton in the township of Great Bolton."

Thanks Ann & Jill. The trouble is the entry just said Bolton-le-Moors, not Bolton-le Moors Parish Church, and there must be over 30 churches in the Bolton-le-Moors area.

Edited to add thanks. How rude am I !!!

Great tip thank you, another question :just wondering if its just me on familysearch. I've got a search going, get a lsit of results up say for baptisms, but when you click on the entry I get just a blank page with no information on it. Is it just me or does this mean they haven't put the info up or something, even though I have a list of search results?

EG will get a list of search results

But clicking on the blue link brings no record up at all, just a blank page, very annoying!

it must be my pc then, as on clicking the name i get a blank page, with just the sqaure saying image not available for this collection. It doesn't happen with all my searches but quite a lot, driving me crackers!

Just tried again and still the same, both in firefox chrome and IE

Many thanks for that answer Guy as I had been wondering the exact same thing as Christina had!

It's a pity the "Source Film Number" isn't hyper-linked. It is in the old IGI interface where you can click on the "Source Call Number" which is how I used to find the church names.

Mark.
