Please could some kind person do a 1911 census lookup please, I am looking for Thomas Durston c1851 and Ellen Durston c1862 They were born Street, Somerset. If someone could look and see where they living at the time and what his occupation was I would be really greatful.

I have Probate/Will Record for a Thomas Baker Durston who left some money to his Wife Ellen Durston in 1915. They were living at 49 Goswell Road, Street, Somerset. It says that Thomas was a dairyman.

Thanks Nicola

Wow thanks Choccy

even though the address is different, just by looking at the children it confirms this is the right one, the Probate record that I have been looking at also proves that there is good chance I can conect that with the family.

Thanks again Nicola

Does anyone know how much £281 10s was worth in todays money, and how far it would of gone in 1915. I also have 2 other relatives who were left about £600 to be split between them in 1904.

Thanks Nicola

From the following site

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/currency/results.asp#mid

it looks as though -

£281 10s 0d in 1915 would be worth £12,121.39 today

£600.00 in 1905 would be worth £34,410.00 today
