i have details of the marriage of catherine mooney to john muir, which states that her father was arthur mooney and alice mcdermott and that arthur and alice married on 15/7/1905 glasgow and there is only one marriage that comes up on scotlands people and that is the cert that states her mother as bridget mcdermott m/s murphy, on alice's birth, death certs states her mother as susan mcdermott m/s lawn, also 1891 census found alice with parents terence and susan mcdermott

I think firstly we need to find out how you got to Alice, and work back from there.

"I first found alice mooney m/s mcdermott death cert. and on the death cert. it states that alice's father was terence mcdermott and mother was susan mcdermott m/s lawn in 1891 census found alice aged 11 years old with her parents terence and susan, but on her marriage cert to arthur mooney states that her mother was bridget murphy, i am sure that i have the right alice mcdermott or have i, can't find a marriage for terence mcdermott and bridget murphy, have I got the right arthur mooney? it is springburn in glasgow"

Ann are you saying you have a birth marriage and death cert for Alice, but that different mother's maiden names recorded? Have you got the right certificates is my first thought.

are you 100% certain you have the correct certs

catherine mooney married john muir on 29/11/1943 in glasgow, her father was arthur mooney and her mother was alice mcdermott.
on marriage cert. of above states that arthur mooney and alice mcdermott were married on 15/7/1905 in maryhill glasgow.
on the cert. it states that alice mcdermott's father was terence mcdermott and bridget murphy.
can't find any marriage of terence and bridget.
on alice's birth cert states her fatherb as terence mother as susan lawn.
on alice mooney's m/s mcdermott'a death cert states father terence and mother susan.
in 1891 census alice was 11, and living at 82 hawthorn street glasgow, same with 1901 she was aged 20 at same address, also same address on her marriage cert. i am not sure where brdget murohy comes in can anyone out there help me. please. thank you.
