I can find my Gt grandfather, Thomas Swindlehurst from the '91 census onwards as he'd moved over to England; but he was born in Antrim in1871.

How can I find any more information on him and his parents? And is there anywhere I can search to find a passenger manifest from I assume, Belfast to Liverpool to see when he came over? Thanks

Erin gb; thanks very much for your trouble: very kind of you.

Started Preston, moved to Ireland and then back again: I'm surprised.

Ian...If you look at his occupation he is a S&W Mill Mechanic...
The area/areas he lived in Ireland were Mill Towns...The cotton trade was flourishing in Lancs and NI...I imagine that he was "relocated" as its called today ..with his work...
