Can anyone help me? Where do I start looking for where my gt GP's were buried, I have no idea where to start looking!! Do I start by ordering death certs?

Do you know when he died?
Where was he living at the time?
No point in ordering death certs until you can answer those questions.
Where was he born and what was his name? Lot's of willing helpers to assist in finding him for you.

Yes, ideally, you need to know the address at which they were living immediately prior to their deaths. That would give you an idea of possible burial place.

What are the GRO index details of the deaths?

You could try asking for a lookup on the NBI....some GR members who have the records are willing to look. But, not all years/areas have yet been transcribed by the NBI volunteers

Thank you so much for your comments, (apologies for delayed response - I thought I would get alert email from Genes).
Unfortunately I do not know where they were living at the time, somewhere in London I guess.

Harry John Young Size d1937 - Southwark age 71

and Harriet Katherine Size (nee Painter) d1942 age 77 mid eastern Surrey - possibly Sutton.

I was going to order certs to see these details. Just be nice to visit a headstone or something.

Would my next step be, death certs?
Many thanks

Only one death on Ancestry for Harriet Size.....not as per your info.

What is your source?

EDIT:

Name: Harriett Size
Death Registration Month/Year: 1942
Age at death (estimated): 77
Registration district: Surrey Mid Eastern
Inferred County: Surrey
Volume: 2a
Page: 371

AND.................

Name: Harry J Y Size
Death Registration Month/Year: 1937
Age at death (estimated): 71
Registration district: Southwark
Inferred County: London
Volume: 1d
Page: 46

If you decide to order the certs, remember to put on the form exactly the info as per the index, or they will say they can't trace them

Bear in mind that not all graves have headstones..........and also that your relatives may have been cremated

Hello

Yes that is them, got info via ancestry. Thanks for info, I hope there will be a gravestone but yes like you say - could have been cremated or no £££ for a headstone!!
