When the rivet was hot enough, he'ld throw it up to where the riveter was working, and the catcher would catch the hot rivet in a tin cone thingy on the end of a stick and then take it out with tongs and put it in the next hole.

For a long time the most prominent landmark on the North Vancouver shoreline was the 60 foot high "Erection Shop" sign.

Try Rivet heater Shipyard as listed on 1901 census

Rivett Heater, working in a shipyard.As the name suggests heated up the rivetts prior to being placed in the plates of the ship during its construction.

Does anyone know what a River Healer is? I have a couple of ancesters that have this as their occupation on census records. I have tried looking on internet but nothing comes up.
