If you in or near London the British Library in Kings Cross London has India BMDs indexes. If you find them in the index then the certificate (chruch record) will be on microfilm and its free if you go your self

go to the web site


then EITHER enter the name and other particulars on that first page


OR click Advanced Search

scroll down to International Genealogical Index (IGI)


fill out the boxes .... country, of course India
