	I don't think it will be w'31. It is usually m, j, s or d. (standing for March qtr, june qtr., Sept. qtr. or December qtr) and the 31 means 1931. It is probably a re-registration. Kath. x

	Derek, did you understand what Kath meant? Sorry to butt in Kath. If you look for the same birth in 1931 probably March quarter, but with a different surname (e.g. mother married in the meantime) you might find it.
