thanks for replying I am looking for Mary Isabella Ogilvie born 1901 in Cumberland. She had a sister Emily Pearson Ogilvie born in 1901 also. Her date of marriage was 14 May 1925 when she married David Little born 1900.They lived in Westnewton near Aspatria West Cumbria and had two daughters, Mary and Josephine.I have seen her marriage cert. but am unable to locate her on the cencus even though her sister is there! I think she had two brothers, Thomas Pearson Ogilvie born 1889 and John Moffat Ogilvie born 1891. Very addictive but can get frustrating!!! Thanks again for the offer of help, much appreciated.

The most likely reason is that her name has been mistranscribed. If you tell us who you are looking for we can do some detective work for you.

could anyone explain why i cannot find a relative on the 1911 cencus , I can find all the rest of her family quite easily but am failing to find any record of her apart from her birth . I know she went on to have two daughters but unfortunately died in her thirties.Would appreciate any tips on her absence on the cencus. Thank you , Kathleen.
