Hi I have made a mistake while I was building my tree on this web site. It will not let me delete it now and put the correct information in. Any ideas of a way round this or a button I have not yet found!
Thanks in advance
Emma

I believe this site won't let you delete anyone if they have children. You have to delete the children first.

If it's a huge and comlicated error, you could try contacting Genes (use "help" above. " A way round it sometimes is to just replace trheir name with rubbish! Rather depends where they fall in your tree.

The GR Tree does not allow "Free Radicals" or in other words will not allow you to delete anyone that has other names attached, as these other names have no one to connect to.

As mentioned, you can only delete if there is only a single link. All other connections have to be removed first. It can be top down or bottom up.

Alternatively, it is often possible to simply change the details of the incorrect person to be the correct one. No need to delete at all.....!
