Old lists need an address to search, they are not indexed by surname.

Thanks Nicola, think I might arrange a visit to Brighton and try to look up records there - a bit of sea air might do me good. Thanks for your input

192 starts at 2002 anything before then you will need to go to records office for the area you are looking for. Having said that there may be some records office's that may have records on their websites I don't know. I know that if you ring the records office they maybe able to do a search for you for a small fee.

Hi Nicola, thanks for your help. I want to check some relatives from Brighton, so I guess I'd have to check with Sussex records. I'd heard of 192.com but didn't know if they would have the info or how to use their site. I wondered if there were sites on here were I could find what I wanted. Thanks again.

Kent county records office holds electoral registers and other records.

If you want to look up the London area then you will need to contact or visit the Records office in London.

I would of thought that depends on where you want to search,
If you are wanting electoral roles for the kent area then you will probably need to contact kent records office.

Can anyone advise me on the best site, if there is one, to access 1996 voting lists for the South East of England.
Many thanks
