Done it! (I think)
Sorry I've been ages sorting it out - I'm a bit on the slow side with that sort of thing. I was getting very frustrated and have been messing with it for ages. but thanks enormously for the help.

I have FTM 2005, but I expect later versions are similar.
You click on View, at the top of the screen, then point at Family Tree Charts and choose the style you want. On the next screen, down the right hand side is a list of symbols. In my version it is the second one down, but when you open it there is a list of all the things you can include in the boxes.

I usually click on "Genealogy report" and print it out from there. You can choose ancestry report or descendants of the person you start with.

I can't make it 'do' it.!!!
I need to print my tree showing birth, death, occupation places.
I CAN'T MAKE IT DO IT!!
I bet it's ever so easy when you know how - please could someone initiate me....
I'd be eternally grateful!
