Anybody know when the British Army service records (1901-1913)will be available online ?

The Chelsea Pensioners site say they will be available Sept 2010 but no news yet.

Anybody got any news please ?

Thanks

Any surviving records for that period are alread on-line on Ancestry - but only about 30% survived.

Just noticed on another thread (http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.asp?wci=thread&tk=1239362)
that FMP will be adding discharge records from 1901 - 1913.

Potty - no they are not all on Ancestry, only some . All of the papers surviving for those discharged 1900-1913 will be on FMP.

I doubt that the discharge records will be the same as service records.

The discharge papers 1900-1913 are similar to the other discharge papers already on FMP but unlike the early ones they give next of kin info and address.
