	I think there are only some of the earlier divorces which are on the National Archives site. Kath. x

	Records for divorces on National Archives are up to 1937 only.

	Ok thank you. So if I only have a suspicion about a divorce after that period, where would I head for, if not online.

	You would need to get in touch with this place:- Principal Registry of the Family Division First Avenue House 42-49 High Holborn LONDON WC1V 6NP Telephone 020 7947 6939 020 7947 6983 (answerphone) They will undertake a 10 year search but it is quite expensive (I think somewhere between £30 - £50) You would need the couple's full names and marriage date.
