Hi there, sorry if this is obvious somewhere, but I am wanting to know if I can have a second tree on my membership? I have a 96year old friend who has given me his sketchy family history and I said I would try and find out some things for him........ where do I start?
thanks
Liz

You don't need to have a tree on GR to find info for your friend.............

Why not create a membership for him?
Use your email but a different password.
Ps
Two of my friends use my computer, they both have Genes trees.
We are all logged in at the same time by using the flags at the bottom of this page.

ah, ok.......... do you mean a free membership as in I can record his tree here, but can't access any matches etc from it?

Ask for help on here............

or look at any of the free sites.

You haven't given any idea of what you are hoping to find out on this person's behalf...........

Yes you could start a free tree for him and that way you can
search for matches but cannot initiate contact....But people can contact him and he can respond.

If you are only looking for name matches then just use the "search trees" function at the top of the page under your paid membership.

Either way you can use your paid membership to make contact with someone.

I have several free trees (for shoots and the other half!) but use my paid tree to make contact.

Hope that all makes sense.
