Any ideas on the best web site to look for my Scotish family other
than GR or Ancestry .com

Have you tried SCOTFAMTREE, it's an excellant site for scottish family history, you will get loads of help to find your ancestors.

Take a look , it's well worth it,

Are you anywhere near a Family History Center of a Mormon Church? Someone there helped me a great deal in ordering in films from Church records and I found some of my Scotland people there.
