I'm looking for birth of Horace Horn, 1838/9, Feltham, Middx on census. On BMD there is a possibility, Q1 1838, St Giles & St George. Is anyone familiar with London districts to help confirm this may be the correct registration?

Ann, if you just click on the reg. district - in this case St.t Giles & St George - you can get info about where is covered.

Births Mar 1838
HORNE Horace St.Giles & St.George 1 65

Thanks Jan, I did try that.
It only comes up with Holborn or Bloomsbury. I know the reg districts have changed throughout the years and was hoping for something nearer before I spend my money on a cert!

Sorry to you all. My connection went down.
Horace is only on 1871 & 1901 census. I think, 'maybe', he married Sarah Hedges 1882 Chelmsford and Patience Smith Sept 1863 Kingston, Surrey(She died age 30 yrs old).
There is a possibility he was also called Horatio.

Joseph. I saw this christening, Horace was a travelling hawker, and the fathers name just does not fit.

I think I will take a chance & send for the 2 marriage possibilities which will have so much more info.
Thanks to you all, if you have anymore ideas, they are welcome.
I'm off out for 3/4 hours, so I'll pick up any messages later.
