I have been looking for the death of a Valentine Riches, born C1765 who was a master mariner. I have been unable to find his death and wondered if there was anywhere I could check to see if he may of died at sea. His wife died in 1841 a widow in Middlesex.

Thanks in advance

Have you tried findmypast.co.uk ?

Although it is most likely that he may have died before civil registration which started 1 July 1837 as he would've been in his 70s.
