When you look for someone use name variants option. This will bring up mistranscriptions

strange but i cant find the family at all using anyof the info you have given, im not aware of the area being missing any info tho, maybe some else would know more about that?

Hi Dawn, grandad was George Alderton Kay, he was born in York , his real birth year is 1885 but he lied about his age to join the army in 1901 so he will be down as 1882 or thereabouts. My grandmother is Ella Kay born Oldham in 1888, the children are Kenneth Alderton Kay born 1908, Norman Eric Kay born 1911 (so he might not be born yet). I have looked for all of them and they just are not there. Grandfather was an attendent at Storthes Hall asylum near Huddersfield or he may have been in the army but still Ella should be there somewhere. Sue.

Has the 1911 census been completed? My grandfather and his wife and children are not on it. How could this be? They lived just outside Huddersfield, is all of Yorkshire on the census?
