	Thankyou so much Jonesey and Tania for your prompt info it's helped me no end ~ it's a great pity 'maiden names' weren't included in brackets on the census forms from the start ~ it would make life a lot simpler!

	I'm trying to find the maiden name of my g g grandmother ~ her name was Melicia (y o b 1835 ) was married to Albert Poynton (y o b 1835) both lived at Castle Cary Somerset ~ their children were ~ Mary, Sophia, Henry & Alice most grateful if anyone can help, many thanks.
