Well, it doesn't work with a couple I've looked at. And they are blood line relatives via an umpteen grt uncle and down again...if that makes sense.

Edit - It can't even find a relationship with my father!!! Must be a glitch if others have made it work.

At least you had a name you recognised Carol - I've had some which are completely new, but the arrow took me back to where I wanted to be anyway.

My problem since they changed it is when doing a search when I want to go back to that persons main page and it usually says the name in the box at the top left hand side I'm now getting a different name thats related only to another one of my trees.

The only trouble is that since they changed it , I do not seem to be able to add a record to my tree, anyone else having the same problem?

FTM has that too, so the logic was probably copied from there.

Just taken a look at my trees on Ancestry this new addition looks very helpful, apart from chart is also shows on actual 'tree page' under that persons name.

I just saw this when adding someone to my tree and it is quite good. If you click 'view relationship to me ' it brings up a chart/tree with all the links between you and that person.

So now I will always be able to decide who is my first/secon cousin or twice removed etc.
