Strange isn't it? Trying to work it out in my little noodle of a head. He has replied very politely on the thread link show by Janey. Maybe the excitement was just too, too much :)))

Saw Kathleen's question in the thread on TTF ...

Why do people (a) duplicate, (b) delete (when effort has been put into a thread already, with no acknwoledgement)?

If Barry happens to see this thread I wonder if this is the birth of "his" Edith Emmitt (but with the surname spelled differently):-

Name: Edith Emmett
Year of Registration: 1884
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
District: Kingston
County: Middlesex, Surrey
Volume: 2a
Page: 325

Date would be about right with the age given in 1901.

Or this one (birthplace as given in the 1911 census):-

Name: Edith Emmett
Year of Registration: 1880
Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
District: Leeds (1837-1929)
County: Yorkshire - West Riding
Volume: 9b
Page: 527

That comes up as an invalid thread Cynthia so it must have been deleted.

I was just putting information on Barry's thread about Edith Emmitt and it seems to have disappeared? Have you deleted it Barry?
