Its noted to both local birth entries after notification & UK General registers, and entered into the ACR after the finalisation of adoption.

I really don't know the answer to your question but I would have thought that the word "adopted" would be added at the time of adoption which could be at any time after the birth (may be straight away or could be years later).

Maybe someone who knows for certain can give you a better answer.

Could any one please help have 3 birth certs from one family 2 have no fathers name the other has but it looks like all 3 were put up for adoption as on the right of certs it has adopted and the registrars name does anyone know if this is put on as newborns or can it be put on at a later date, any help much appriecated
