Can someone tell me how to obtain a birth certificate of a grandparent please

You can order a cert either from the local reg office where they were born or by using General Register Office using the ref.number from freebmds
The ref number will be different if you are using GRO.

Can you post the details and someone will find the registration number for you

It should cost £9 25 and you can order on line from the General Record Office
