I don't quite understand the relationships, the names don't seem to follow through grandmother Rose Davis her parents:- Edmund and Emma Davis her grandparents:- Thomas Boon and Ann Davis gt grandparents:- John Davis and Sarah Pool On the 1861 Census, I've found a Thomas Boon b. ca 1830 with wife Ann Boon b. ca 1838 .......... and son Edmund BOON born ca 1855/56 Thye're living in Darlaston, Staffordshire BUT Thomas was born in Albrighton, Shropshire Is that your family????? from www.freebmd.org.uk Marriages Sep 1855 (>99%) Boon Thomas Penkridge 6b 427 Davis Ann Penkridge 6b 427 and information added to that entry via a psotem note (obviously by someone who has the certificate) Postems for this entry:27/06/2010 Lapley 29 Jul 1855. 	AH Solved it! Edmund was the son of Ann Davis, born just days before she married Thomas Boon I guess we presume that Thomas was the father ..... although that is difficult to prove! England & Wales Christening Records, 1530-1906 Name: Edmund Davis Gender: Male Birth Date: abt 1855 Christening Date: 15 Jul 1855 Christening Place: Lapley, Staffordshire, England Mother's Name: Ann Davis so presumably he reverted to his birth name at some point sylvia

	you're going to have to get back beyond John and Sarah to find a Welsh connection but the name Davis doesn't necessarily mean that there is a Welsh connection anyway. sylvia
