thank you gai i think that must be what he is doing'as he has saved my mothers family. which would be not any relation to his.but never mind thanks again for all your replies.

You may consider the fact that this person is just a name collector and doesn't care if their tree is right or wrong.

thank you both i have put comment on i think' just trying to help the person so as he does not make a mess of his tree.thank for all your help 'just have to wait and see

I've never come across that before but I see what you mean. When you click on "contact" it says this member has chosen not to be contacted. You can, however, add a comment to the tree.

Sue, I don't think you can if they have opted not to be contacted.

Could you not put 'comments' on the people in the other tree to indicate they have the wrong person

hi everyone can anybody tell me' if there is a way on ancestry to contact a member 'who does not want to be contacted by other members.my reageson for this is he has copied from my tree'he has taken birth certs marriage certs and photos'that dont belong on his tree.he has the wrong person ie a james alldrick born kings norton 'and the james alldrick on my tree was born aston . thank you all for any help .
