Hello,

Is there any easy way of accessing records regarding births, marriages and deaths in Jersey? I can't seem to access anything on the usual search engines, are they literally only held at the record's offices on the respective Islands?

Thank you in advance =)

Hello Amanda

What else is it that you want to know?

There is only one line, that of your Great x 4 Grandparents, that I may be able to take a little further back. All the others end in Guernsey, England or Ireland and I cannot help you with those.

hello Amanda
My great grandmother & family were from Jersey and I found a good Jersey Archives site whcih was very helpful for me.

http://www.jerseyheritage.org/home

An interesting site, and I now have her birth cert and christening record. Expensive compared to English cert costs but I wanted it.

Thanks again everyone =) will look at those other websites as well =)

JerseyLily, you have been so helpful to me I didn't want to trouble you again; the last thing I wanted to know was whether John Taylor died in Jersey, would have been after 1970 sometime as he did actually see me in my pram lol! Apparently he was placed in a pauper grave, but I have cousins saying he returned to Manchester and died there ..

It also appears that John's brother, Frank, was living in Jersey too, and died there two years ago!
