Have at last found the identity of my maternal grandmother: Hilda Marion High, born 25/09/22. Married Albert Edwards in 1946.

Cant seem to find any more information such as has she died, did she have any children?

I see that she married in Brentford, Middlesex. Do you know if she stayed there or might she have moved.

There are three Edwards births with mother's maiden name given as High but they are in Cheshire.

Not sure if she stayed there, I do have her location as London in 1942

I've just checked marriages in Cheshire and there is a marriage of another couple in Cheshire with Edwards and High as the surnames so I don't think the 3 births I found are to your maternal grandmother.

She wasnt Hilda Edwards after all she was Hilda O'Connell, she married Edward O'Connell in Sheffield in 1943 and had 2 further children Celia and Terence. I am now looking for Hilda Marion O'Connell - cant seem to find death certificate for her and her children Terence Edwin O'Connell born battersea 16th July 1946 and Celia Jean O'Connell born battersea 13th Sept 1943 cant seem to find marrieages/deaths/children for them. Please can anyone help.

Do you actually have the marriage cert this time?

There's a marriage for a Celia in Yorkshire.

If you look on FreeBMD you'll see another daughter born in 1950 and she is on this site. Use the search trees option.

Just seen the address for the first 2 children. I lived a few doors down from there for a short while. How spooky is that?
